Thankful for the Calling to Care – God chose me to serve others with compassion.
Thankful for the Calling to Care
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
There is something deeply sacred about being called to care for others. It’s not just a job or a duty — it’s a divine assignment. Each act of kindness, every gentle touch, every moment spent listening is a reflection of God’s compassion working through us.
As caregivers, we are entrusted with more than daily tasks; we are invited into people’s lives at their most vulnerable moments. That trust is holy. It reminds me that caregiving isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. It’s about showing up with love, patience, and humility, even on the hardest days.
Today, I’m thankful for this calling — for the opportunity to serve, to comfort, and to make a difference one person at a time. In caring for others, we often find that God is quietly caring for us, too.
